About FormFlow

FormFlow is a small set of tools for the most tedious part of office life: forms. Filling them, signing them, building them and sending them back. Every tool runs in your web browser, so your documents stay on your own device.

Who makes it

I'm Grace Whitfield, an office-operations consultant based in Raleigh, North Carolina. For about fifteen years I have helped small clinics, property managers, churches and nonprofits get their paperwork under control — intake packets, lease renewals, volunteer waivers, vendor W-9s, the works.

The same problem kept coming up. Someone would receive a PDF form, print it, fill it in by hand, sign it, scan it on a phone at an angle, and email back a blurry image that the next person had to retype. Or they'd upload a document full of personal details to whatever free website came up first in search, with no idea where that file went afterwards.

FormFlow is the tool I wanted to hand those clients: one place that does forms and signatures properly, works well on a phone, and doesn't need anyone to trust a server with their Social Security number.

What FormFlow promises

  • Your files stay with you. PDFs are opened and edited by JavaScript in your browser tab. They are not uploaded. See the privacy policy for the details.
  • Honest about signatures. FormFlow puts your signature on the page. It doesn't pretend to be a certified e-signature service with identity checks or audit trails.
  • Forms that work everywhere. Fillable PDFs made here use standard AcroForm fields that open in Adobe Reader, Apple Preview, Chrome, Edge and phone viewers.
  • No accounts, no watermarks. Open the page and get to work.

How it's built

FormFlow uses two well-known open-source libraries: PDF.js from Mozilla to display pages, and pdf-lib to read and write form fields. Handwriting-style fonts for typed signatures are open-licensed fonts served from this site. There are no analytics scripts or ad trackers on any page.
